Douglasville in the winter -how bad?

So, We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Douglasville sits at 525.9 per 100K. Homes are going for about $313,500 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 36,284 people. Poverty rate is 10.0%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cheers. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in construction. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
