Anyone else love living in Dover?

OK so Just moved here 15 months ago and The median home value here is around $398,500, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Does this match your experience? The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in West for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- The nightlife scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
