Best coffee shops in Dowagiac?

First post here. I'm retired and It's a a small town city with about 5,677 people. Homes are going for about $110,300 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in government. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Definitely worth checking out..
