Planning a move to Downers Grove -neighborhoods?

Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Definitely worth checking out..
