Should I move to Downers Grove or stay in Miami?

Anyone else feel this way? Crime rate is something to consider -Downers Grove sits at 93.0 per 100K. The median home value here is around $439,000, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Old Town area are tough. Kids love it here.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 6 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
