Living in Downingtown -the reality

So, I'm a teacher here and With a population of 8,163, Downingtown is a small town. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $82,292, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
