Doylestown quality of life -am I missing something?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 8,322 people. You can expect to pay around $1,754 for rent here. With a population of 8,322, Doylestown is a small town. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $491,700, which is pretty steep. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Great weather
- Friendly people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Limited nightlife
- High property taxes
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
