Best areas to explore in Draper?

Hey, Military spouse here. It's a a smaller city city with about 50,159 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much manageable but now it's solid.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The healthcare scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Summers can be brutally hot

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
