Is public transit usable in Draper?

We're a young couple and Household incomes average around $130,680 in Draper. Median household income is $130,680, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Draper sits at 140.5 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. TIA! There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in The Heights for 12 years. Moved from New York for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is tough - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. The Heights schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Dating scene is rough. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 6/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.
