Is Drexel Heights walkable?

OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Is this normal for Drexel Heights?

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Westside area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

I work in retail here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is tough. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the Old Town side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 3 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.
