What's it really like living in Drexel Hill?
Longtime lurker here, Poverty rate is 7.0%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Drexel Hill sits at 870.1 per 100K. Homes are going for about $239,900 on average. With a population of 30,015, Drexel Hill is a smaller city. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? Thanks in advance! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
