Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 2 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The public transit is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

I've been here 14 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely better than expected and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Westside) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like sushi.

No regrets on my end..
