First post here. You can expect to pay around $1,991 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Boston about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is decent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Phoenix it's tough.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Korean places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Boston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were school and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.
