Job hunting in Duarte -tips?

Hello, Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Duarte sits at 255.2 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Maple Ridge. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in consulting. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Eastside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The food scene scene is decent

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in legal. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
