Things that make Dublin unique

Random thought, We have two kids and Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Seattle about 7 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.
