Starting a business in Dublin?

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $80,500 in Dublin. Crime rate is something to consider -Dublin sits at 70.5 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I work in hospitality here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is challenging. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 9 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The job market is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
