Top 5 things I love about Duluth

First post here. I've been here for 5 years and Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. With a population of 86,863, Duluth is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Duluth sits at 340.1 per 100K. The median home value here is around $225,700, which is actually reasonable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely solid and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Sunset) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
