Is Dumbarton worth moving to in 2026?

OK so I've been here for 3 years and It's a a small town city with about 8,407 people. You can expect to pay around $1,402 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $59,085 in Dumbarton. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The school system scene is solid

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
