My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,412 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
