Not sure if this has been asked before, but Median household income is $62,349, which feels about average for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I wrong here?

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The food scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Springfield for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- The traffic scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in marketing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
