Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Seattle it's solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Charlotte about 4 years ago. The main reasons were family and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is tough.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is excellent in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much growing but now it's hit or miss.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Denver about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
