Should I move to Dundee or stay in Las Vegas?

I'm retired and Homes are going for about $233,000 on average. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 5,584 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Dundee sits at 202.8 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Any help is appreciated. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a real estate agent, 26, moved here 4 years ago from Raleigh. I've lived in Sunset and Springfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Diverse dining options
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Summers can be brutally hot
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The traffic situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Sunset: Great for singles. average vibes, walkable.
- Springfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Raleigh, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $100K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
It's not for everyone but it works for us.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
