Studio apartments in Dunwoody -options?

Random thought, I'm a 29-year-old software engineer and Crime rate is something to consider -Dunwoody sits at 128.3 per 100K. Household incomes average around $109,116 in Dunwoody. It's a a smaller city city with about 51,563 people. Poverty rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'm a writer and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Maple Ridge for 4 years. Moved from Charlotte for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Maple Ridge schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Can feel isolated. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 9/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great craft beer places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely decent and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (West) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Houston about 10 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Baltimore about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is challenging.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in South area are average. Kids love it here.

I've lived in South for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights
- The job market scene is average

The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
