I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The pet-friendliness is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in government. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
