Moving from Houston to Durham next month
Just moved here 9 months ago and Household incomes average around $90,341 in Durham. The unemployment rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,508/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 1,909 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks for reading. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
