Hey folks, I'm a 52-year-old lawyer and Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Dyersburg sits at 1,104.3 per 100K. Poverty rate is 13.8%, which is around average. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
