Dysart job market vs Baltimore

Not sure if this has been asked before, but The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $739 for rent here. With a population of 1,575, Dysart is a small town. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Nashville about 15 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..
