Is Eagan worth moving to in 2026?
Should I be concerned? Any help is appreciated. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Westside area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely solid and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (East) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great seafood places. it exceeded my expectations.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
