Just moved to Eagle, any tips?

With a population of 31,490, Eagle is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,753/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $711,500, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $118,037 in Eagle. The unemployment rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Worth the trade-offs? Appreciate any input. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 4 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in East for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- The pet-friendliness scene is decent

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Greenfield area are tough. Kids love it here.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a project manager, 50, moved here 10 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Old Town and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Summers can be brutally hot
2. Can feel isolated
3. The school system situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Old Town: Great for remote workers. improving vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $50K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Uptown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The housing market scene is improving

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from LA about 7 years ago. The main reasons were work and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..
