Moving from Raleigh to Eagle next month

Hi all, I've been here for 18 years and The median home value here is around $711,500, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $1,753/month for a decent place. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (West) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
