Random thought, With a population of 31,490, Eagle is a smaller city. Median household income is $118,037, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Is this normal for Eagle? TIA! Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 4 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Eastside. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in education. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.
No regrets on my end..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
