What Eagle Pass does better than anywhere else

Hey folks, I've been here for 1 years and Rent is about $794/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $794 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 7 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The food scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Phoenix about 1 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.
