Job market in East Alton for tech?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $819 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Anyone else love living in East Alton?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a remote worker and The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Has anyone dealt with this?
