Alright, Been living here since 2022. With a population of 10,377, East Bakersfield is a small town. Poverty rate is 35.6%, which is higher than I expected. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
