Relocating to East Bakersfield, CA -pros and cons?

Longtime lurker here, It's a a small town city with about 10,377 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I'm a accountant and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
