Random thought, I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $343,200, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -East Bethel sits at 36.9 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Anyone in a similar situation? TIA! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
