Life in East Bethel as a young professional

Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Portland about 2 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
