Is East Brooklyn walkable?

Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $268,000, which seems about average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
