East Camden in the winter -how bad?

So, I'm originally from Sacramento and It's a a small town city with about 4,210 people. The median home value here is around $150,400, which is actually reasonable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 2 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
