Hey everyone, I've been here for 2 years and It's a a smaller city city with about 26,158 people. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Would love some local perspective. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 9 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
