Healthcare options in East Farmingdale?

So, Median household income is $109,531, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. Crime rate is something to consider -East Farmingdale sits at 22.0 per 100K. With a population of 5,866, East Farmingdale is a small town. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Boston about 15 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is solid.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
