Day-to-day life in East Freehold, NJ

Homes are going for about $626,800 on average. Median household income is $195,804, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 5,381, East Freehold is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low taxes

- Good airport connections

Cons:

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 3 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Tampa about 9 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Definitely worth checking out..
