Anyone else feel this way? Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. What do you all think?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Baltimore about 9 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..
