Starting a business in East Hartford?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -East Hartford sits at 152.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $215,400 on average. Household incomes average around $66,943 in East Hartford. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation? The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I've lived in Sunset for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The public transit scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The community vibe is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in South for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The dating scene scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in West area are average. Kids love it here.
