Hey everyone, The median home value here is around $274,900, which seems about average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in East for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Diverse dining options
- The public transit scene is solid
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in tech. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
