Top 5 things I love about East Hazel Crest

I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $57,000, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 1,122, East Hazel Crest is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

No regrets on my end..

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great BBQ places. I love the pace of life here.
