Curious what people think. You can expect to pay around $3,249 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I work in manufacturing here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is underrated. No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 10 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
