How much do you pay for rent in East Lake-Orient Park?
Hi all, You can expect to pay around $1,417 for rent here. With a population of 29,064, East Lake-Orient Park is a smaller city. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think?

I'm a project manager and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a writer, 42, moved here 10 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in North and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Can feel isolated
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The weather situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for retirees. challenging vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $80K-$130K here.
**Final verdict:**
Feel free to reach out with questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The traffic is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
