Not sure if this has been asked before, but I work in food service and It's a a smaller city city with about 45,394 people. Household incomes average around $43,547 in East Lansing. Median household income is $43,547, which feels on the lower side for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
