Couple moving to East Los Angeles from out of state
Hi all, Born and raised here. With a population of 115K, East Los Angeles is a mid-size city. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is tough in most areas.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
